Piggybacking off the SMS trend. While some think it's just business which is fine, I disagree and will be sending the set in. Either way I will let all know the results when that happens. This is the one from the set I bought from a dealer that happened to be in the blue 66, 67 mint case that's been sitting in my berou since the early 90s. Again, some think I bought it yesterday from a guy selling me a dream. I assure you it hasn't left my possession for nearly 30 years. Anyway, SMS or not- what so you think the grade is?
Sorry, for some reason the images didn't load, working on that right now. Edited by Ghawk 05/19/2020 9:18 pm

And sorry the image of the set I couldn't fix. Most of the marks you see (especially on the reverse) are from die polishing. I had trouble getting the steps on reverse to show, but they are almost full- minus a small portion of the last few steps under Lincoln slightly to the right. They are EXACTLY like this coin from Great Collections. (Make sure you click the image to enlarge clearly) url=" https://www.Greatcollections.com/coin/697948

I can't tell from the image, but are the steps full or do they have some incomplete sections?
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Yokozuna- funny you should ask. I just edited my last post. The steps are exactly like the coin from the link.

They are your coins and you can do whatever you want with them. If you think they are the rare ones then send them off for TPG. Just be prepared to be disappointed if they don't grade as you expect. Good luck!

I'll say 66RD. Still a very common coin.

Westernsky- I'm aware thank you. Just looking for a grade. Not a debate. But the half happens to have the same diagnostic marks on both obverse and reverse. And there's A LOT more marks than just the dangling 4 that everyone seems to know about. But anyway- like I said, just looking for a grade.

What's under his chin? Is the cent in some kind of capsule?

On the cent I would say 65 red. Tough to grade coins from pictures no matter the quality of the photo.
You will get opinions here that will be all over the map. Might as well send them in to get them done by the "experts".

Westersky- I totally agree and I will say this, to me the coin looks a lot better in person but I tend to agree that you are in the ball-park with the grade.

Seems to have quite a few hits on it. I'd say MS-63 RD. Maybe 64 for nice surfaces. Doesn't look like the SMS.

Under the chin? Just reflection. The coin is bare. I wish I had the skills of PCGS photography, lol

Fenton, I'll give it another try. But did you see the coin in the link that I sent? Steps are dead on exactly like this one. I wish I could capture the image better. I may have to wait for a little sunlight tomarrow.
