Nells250, Are the Presidential dollars and Native American dollars that were minted after there was no demand for them in circulation commemoratives or non-commemoratives. Once you answer that, you'll have the answer to your question.

Quote: So the final tally is I received all my coins without any damages to the coins. Quote: Now time to relax for a few days until Monday, my next enrollment order. Same. Quote: Are these Morgan and Peace coins COMMEMORATIVES or "actual" coins, as in a continuance of the original series? They are what you want them to be. They are coins that can be spent. They have a common design with their predecessors. They celebrate (if not necessarily commemorate) anniversaries. Your collection, your rules.

If you think about it, the 2021 Morgan and Peace dollars are coins minted to commemorate the identical circulating coins from long ago. If I had a complete collection of either original series, then I'd consider them a continuation of the series. Since I don't, I'll consider them commemoratives so that I can have a complete collection of the commemorative series. :)

Quote: Your item arrived at our USPS facility in KNOXVILLE TN DISTRIBUTION CENTER on November 2, 2021"........ Same. My D & S were scheduled for today but since tracking showed it just left Memphis I knew that wasn't going to happen. Tracking just updated with a new arrival of Saturday. The last scan is only 3 hours away so I'm guessing maybe Thursday or Friday the latest.

The US Mint does not consider them commemorative coins. The law that authorized the minting of these coins is called "The 1921 Silver Dollar Coin Anniversary" So, the law states its an anniversary coin. Quote: They are what you want them to be. They are coins that can be spent. They have a common design with their predecessors. They celebrate (if not necessarily commemorate) anniversaries. Your collection, your rules.

So here's what my Morgans look like in the 2011 25-year Anniversary ASE case: Can you tell which is which? I still need to figure out a way to get the Morgan capsules to fit snugly into the ASE slots so that the 5-coin board can be removed from the case for viewing the coin reverses (where the distinguishing charactaristics live). Maybe some black or very dark blue felt cut into narrow strips and wrapped around the edges of the capsules.

Need to be care with the material (the capsules are not a perfect seal).

Interesting variety of answers to my question! ;-) I think I will call mine "continuations". Incidentally, my Peace has made it to the Boston distribution center! Maybe it will arrive tomorrow.
Funny thing is I never got ANY notice that my CC Morgan was ever shipped. It just plain ARRIVED. Interesting...
