I've picked up ASE starting in 1986 when they first came out. Although in 1990's I stopped as I was a poor college student and then a poor homeowner, I restarted in the 2000's. I only would get the bullion variety. When I completed the Bison Nickels, there wasn't another set that interested me, but since I had over 50% of the ASE collection. I picked up the few ones I was missing. When it came to the 1996, the proof was cheaper than the bullion so I got a proof instead.

In 2019, the release of the ERP rekindlend an interest in some of the limited edition ASE. 2019 was the first year I picked up Proofs.

This year, I was able to pick up 2 of the 75th Anniversary of WWII ASE. I kept 1.

And sold the other to pick up the 2012 double set of ASE and a few other things. I picked up this set because I really like the reverse poof ASE.

Great set! They look quite nice. I have quite a few ASEs in my collection, but oddly they're almost all the same years (86,89,90, and 92)

ASEs are quite the lookers and your set/collection is a gorgeous example. Nice photos and great coins!
Are you going to go back and fill in the earlier proofs and uncirc?

That's a nice looking set. I would, too, recommend the Pride of Two Nations set. The silver eagle is stunning in that set.

There are actually two reverse styles: a) 1986 - 2007 b) 2008 - 2021

Quote: There are actually two reverse styles: a) 1986 - 2007 b) 2008 - 2021 The difference was in the Font/Lettering. Personally I consider it so insignificant that they are for all purposes the same. When the new flying eagle reverse comes out, then thats a change. Also going to put a 2021 with the old reverse in the last spot.

The silver eagles look great and just jump out when enlarged.
