My birthday was this weekend and since both kids are working they got me a coin. My youngest said to put a list of what I want and they got me a 1988 Proof ASE, one more to add to the collection.

You have asked me to show you my camera set-up. but I forgot to show you. I'll get a picture of my setup tomorrow when I have better daylight to get a good picture of my picture taking set-up. (boy that sounded redundant)

One more to add to the pile.

Such nice coins. I just don't like dings, scratches and lint on or inside the capsules highlighted by the light when pics are taken. This happens with coins I get directly from the Mint and from dealers. Mint capsules are available on the secondary market, leftovers from graded coins. But you don't know if you are getting good ones or dinged/scratched ones when you buy them. Oh well, maybe I'm too picky. A damaged/dirty capsule just distracts from the beauty of the coin.

I recently ordered some Novus cleaner/polish bottles. I will try to get light scratches off the plastic of a brand new PCGS graded 2021 W proof silver eagle type 2 MS70. I bought the coin on ebay and am disappointed the slab has light scratches. I thought of sending it back but the coin is perfect so I'll see how good the Novis works when it arrives. I will try it on a couple capsules too.
