Thanks Chafe!!
I'm going to try a finish a few lines in the Dansco and then I'll do a presentation of all that group. Like all the dimes, quarters, nickels, small cents....
But I'm still missing at least 1 coin from each section.

While I don't actively look for older slabbed coins, when I can find one at a good price, I tend to give those coins more of consideration. Based on the few ones I own(ed), the grading seems more consistent in the older slabs. Today we get a 1853 Half Dime with Arrows. The Arrows were added from 1853 - 1855 as the weight was reduced from 1.34 grams to 1.24 grams. With this last group, I'm at 110 and 73% complete.

NGC recently added 2 more coins to the Virtual 7070. The first I already had. They added ATB Quarters, since I like Bison's :) They also added Washington Crossing the Delaware. That one I am waiting for the Silver Proof quarters to come out before I get one.

Today you also get the Half Cent that was conserved by NGC. I think NGC did a good job.

And today's new pick up. An 1888 S Seated Liberty dime. With today's and a future acquisition, I am at 75% complete and number 105. I'll post the other acquisition when it comes in.

While I'll finish this with slabbed coins, I would rather do the 7070 as an album. Its just so much nicer looking at all the coins together rather than in slabs. Even though I have a few slabs, I rather enjoy the albums more. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I like to touch the coins and slabs get in the way. Its the same with currency, I have a few notes that are slabbed and I would rather have then raw. Not that I'm going to break them all out, as I understand that slabbing adds value.

What grades do you think you will be using for your 7070?

@NumisEd,
Since I am at 75% complete, I am going to finish the 7070 as a slabbed set. After that I'll probably go back to currency, there are a few notes I want. And then honestly I've been thinking about getting a new camera.

Three great looking coins added today! Smart move waiting for the Proof version of the new quarter to come out, rather than being impatient and going for the current Mint State example. Nice to see your conserved Half Cent. I've used PCGS Restoration several times, and have always been very satisfied. I absolutely love your new AU58 Seated dime - a real beauty, and coins in that grade not only look great, but they will almost always enable you (or your heirs) to obtain fair value when selling. I know PCGS (and I'm guessing NGC too) has a simple feature that digitally takes your photos from your Registry Set, and puts them all in an album. While I agree this does not allow you to physically touch (but potentially damage) your coins, it's a very viable compromise. Here's a hotlink to my Digital 7070 Registry Set ALBUM: https://www.PCGS.com/setregistry/u-...album/213996They automatically show the grade of each coin. I'm not tech savvy at all, and this is real easy to set up. You can do it too. Steve

Absolutely fantastic Type Set by Winesteven. Love how the coins are displayed in the blue virtual album. Almost better than a real album. I like the proofs best, just what I have in mind as well. But for me "only" mid-to-lower grade proofs PR62-65.
