I have this 1776-1976 quarter that it looks like a blister on the obverse? I'm unsure what the back would be? misaligned die? Thanks for looking.

to a great place to learn more about coins! Your quarter has most likely a heating blister of some kind, meaning it was subjected to high heat, like in a . I don't really see anything special about the reverse though, except a semi damaged surface. A misaligned die is a completely separate topic here where the obverse die gets shifted slightly relative to the reverse and then you could get a 'double rim'.

I agree that this coin was subjected to extreme heat to possibly separate the cladding from the copper core.

@osc, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes I agree. This appears to be a so-called campfire coin.

Please show full-size pics of each side, oriented right-side up. Partial images are not helpful.

to CCF. Not an error,it is PMD. Most likely from heat damage like from a campfire.

May have been heated by someone fooling around with a hobby-grade torch. While the heating source can be debated, the lumpy nature of the coin's surface is heat-caused.

Just a damaged coin, just face value:

Never be worth more than face value.
