Large Date and it is damage.
That could not happen during the striking of the coin.

I agree with the above, but would only add that it looks a bit like a rolled over Rim Fin at nine o'clock on the obv rim. That won't add any value to the coin though.

Coming in late, but yes--it's a large date. And, a victim of post-strike damage.

The affected areas are incuse (below the surface of the coin) So the coin was damaged. Not a mint error.

Large date copper with extreme damage. Best use is making a wish and tossing it over your shoulder into a fountain. Bonne chance!
