Found this in my collection it stood out a bit as I need to clean it it's doubled in the liberty and a little in the date. Is it just Machine Doubling I'm not familiar with the Roosevelt dimes and just started collecting those as well. It's getting verdigris how do I get rid of it or is the coin beyond repair? Not familiar with cleaning or dipping I've read only but never actually did it. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

To my eyes, it looks like Die Deterioration Doubling, but I am no expert. DDD is caused by metal wear, making the devices wider and rounded in all or most directions. Most forms of Mechanical Doubling seem to be highly directional.

Check the Variety Vista catalogue for that year, though. Some doubled dies are subtle, and the different classes present in different ways.

IMHO it is Strike Doubling from the Die Deterioration.
