I'm hesitant to post this. At first I thought just PMD.
But of course I just won't let it pass. How could this happen post strike?
Probably looking at it all backwards. .

The metal looks pushed towards the center and piled up higher than the field and on the letters E of WE, top of his head and letters I M of DIME.
The outside edge of the rim isn't affected except on the reverse between the I M of DIME.
There's other areas with the same issues.

. Like I said I'm probably way off in the head and seeing it all wrong but no worries.

Thank you as always

Damaged After Strike probably after it left the Mint. Not an error.

. I thought it was PMD. Just thought it was different than a parking lot coin. They didn't look smashed or scraped up.

Definitely a damaged coin but looks kind of like many cents that were used in place of a fuse. Looks like an arced current may have melted the coin in the damaged locations.
