Commenting on the incident, Baltimore County police spokesman Bill Toohey told the Sun: "It's a sign that we're all a little nervous in the post-9/11 world."

Yeah, 'cause Osama Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda bros have been known to try to cash $2 bills at many Best Buys. It's a terrorist conspiracy!!

Cuff him, Danno!!

Yep, I can see a major lawsuit coming against the Baltimore PD and Best Buy I am not normally the sue happy type but that guy had a major violation of his civil rights, all because he tried using perfectly legal currently circulating US currency and the cops and Best Buy employees were completely clueless I sure hope the Secret Service agents completely berated the cops over wasting their time.

You called them on it, Moe!

One thing that makes me irate is that everyone wants to blame 9/11 for their own incompetence.

I agree with Bio, he should be well compensated. I'd start with a new home theater and some updated equipment for my car. I am sure the wife would love to upgrade the kitchen!

How about a 30% discount, in addition to other sales and offers, for life? Oh, and they also pay the sales tax.

In 1968 I bought my first car for $150.00. Paid the man with 300 1964 Kennedy halves. The guy really wasnt happy with all the coins. If I only knew. Anyway, I had a 1957 Chevy BelAire.
