Wasn't it in mid-2015 they were going to change the effigy?

Got these in change over the weekend - a 2012 Gibraltar pound coin... ...and only my second "Scottish" 2014 pound (yet to find a Northern Ireland one):

Just to add to the fake £2 coin discussion.
I have come across only 1 fake £2 coin, which I refused to accept in change from McDonalds. The cashier disputed that it was fake and dropped it back in his drawer but it was particularly shiny so I looked at it expecting it to be a 2014 or 2015 coin, it was actually dated 2011 and it had no edge inscription what-so-ever. Aside from that it was pretty convincing but the milling around the edge seemed overly deep too.
I kind of wish I had accepted it now, but as a matter of principle I had to point out it was fake.

Hi David, this sounds most like one of these: https://goccf.com/t/198440#1841623. This is the only bi-metallic kind dated 2011 with any examples so far reported with no edge inscription. Was the deep reeding like on that? Whatever it is, it's perhaps a significant development when existing Forum users start encountering such things serendipitously.

It's really weird but I've found six 2011 Olympic 50p's in circulation in the last few days, which is about as many as I got in the whole of 2014! I got a Gymnastics about a week ago at the local supermarket, and changed £10 for a bag of 50p's at the bank and pulled a Canoeing, a Boccia and a Rowing. Then I got a Cycling at the supermarket on Saturday and an Archery from the local Subway restaurant today!

@Moral Climate. Yes the edge was exactly like that though if it had any personalised message I didn't spot it. I haven't seen one since and I have been keeping my eyes open.
I don't know where these things are being made, the majority of fake pounds came out of Essex about 10 years back but I think that guy has long moved on.

I've just been shopping and got a 2015 (Rank-Broadley head) 2p in change, and a 1991 Isle of Man 1p.

So far I have 1p, 2p and 5p 2015 coins
Surprised to hear the £2 is out so early as O heard that they normally don't hit the streets until the end of the year.
Has anyone seen a 2015 10p in circulation yet?
R.
