Quote: I've been on the internet too long to trust what people say in message boards without any kind of proof or evidence. very, very good point. Cant disagree with that one bit. LOL

Fantastic! The kind of find we all dream about and aspire to. Congratulations; shame that you need the money and have to sell it, because the story behind that coin is amazing!

What an interesting thread this has been! To kriz70 I say Congratulations on a find of a lifetime! As I've followed this story since whenever the heck it was, noticing the very insistent protestations of at least one member, I thought some people are going to owe someone an apology. Or at least an "Okay, I was wrong." I don't know what was said, but I see someone felt the fall of the hammer.
It makes me wonder, when these kinds of astounding revelations are made, why there is such vehement opposition to the radical concept that someone could have actually found a "needle in a haystack." Words are flung across the ether as though some people have some kind of vested interest in whether the poster is for real or just creating a story. Is it jealousy? Or is it not wanting to be "got", and being able to say "I told you so..."
No pictures have been entered into evidence of the recent '74 aluminum cent "Penny From Heaven", yet my life is no less complete for the lack of resolution to that wondrous mystery. I have no "stake" in the outcome, and it certainly was interesting, as was this.
I found it quite interesting that someone actually seeded into circulation an 09svdb and a 14-D. What a radical concept! There are so many wondrous things in life yet to be discovered, and many of them lie not within the realm of Numismatics, or your neighbors front yard. They lie within each of us.
What will YOU discover today?
Steve

Congratulations. I hope you get what you want out of it in terms of dollars.
I have been watching this thread from the start and think some of the posts were tainted by jealousy. Too bad.

I wonder when the last time was that somebody found one of those in circulation (before this).
