Quote: Still nothing from the guys at prudential about how to get my coins...
It takes about a month from when you mailed your check to Pru, to then get a letter from Diamond State Depositary. Then another 3-4 weeks to get the coins. Roughly 2 months.

I got my letter from Diamond State yesterday. The turnaround for these coins is ridiculous. Why could not Prudential just mail them directly to me? The process seems crazy.

Clinkin, it cost me 93.00 to submit my Hot Springs for grading with PCGS. That includes a fee for First Strike designation, the big holder etc etc. So, unless he got a discount, it cost A LOT to do 30 of them.

It was $30 + $18 plus shipping etc. probably averaged about $60 a coin...my friend had much better luck on his submission...out of 18 coins 10 were 69 or better...still waiting to find out grades on the remaining 32 coins...

Silver, how did you get it done for that low a price? Satndard grading fee 30, over sized holder 20, handling fee 8, return postage 16.95 and first strike if you get it, 18. You get a bulk deal?

It was $30 regular submission + $18 for first strike. I submitted them just before the oversize holder fee was implemented. Then on top the ship and handle fees.
Other notes: I used 8 vouchers from joining pcgs for $200 (so those were $25 each instead of 30). my a-mark set didn't need to pay for the first strike. so basically it was 3 sets of shipping and handling fee because voucher set and a-mark set had to be set as separate orders.

So how much money that went to the grading services could have bought something numismatic, like two ASE per slobbed puck?

Anyone else not get a call from prudential and just a letter with an account statement with your deposit? I messed up on the application the first time and had to resend it. No word for a week and a half, finally got a letter showing the check had been deposited into my account. No mention of the ATB set.

FWIW - A lot of Pros are getting stumped on the numerical grades on the 2010 bullion version. Slightest of variations are knocking the grades down.

RSxtacee, I think I got a call before the deposit letter, but a deposit letter is a good sign (in a horrible process)

You get a deposit statement, then a transfer statement to Diamond State. Then a letter from Diamond State asking for a check for delivery.

I agree with Neil. I got exactly what he said in that order. Now, I am waiting for the coins.

I ended up trying to call Prudential several times and got transferred to a number that did not exist. I got worried, so I called Diamond State Depository the same day. They had my info and emailed me the paperwork I needed to complete transaction. I overnighted it back to them. Hopefully I will get them in 10 days or so. Needless to say, I won't ever be dealing with Prudential again. Very complicated ordering system and waste of time!
