This is real difficult to photograph.

It was a great DPML before being circulated.

My dad bought this one off a crap table in Las Vegas in the 50s or early 60s.

VAM-19, I think.

That's a wild set of varieties - the obverse has as much going on as any VAM of any year.

a difficult VAM.. but It believe its as SD thinks its VAM 19...

I'm thinking VAM 19. At the top of the wreath on the left hand side you will see the two berries. I believe if it was a VAM 20 the left hand side berry would look like a leaf not a berry. Or other way around I cannot remember.

I just sent my VAM 19 to get graded (hopefully a 64) but definitely check out VAM world site listed above.

That top left is a berry with VAM-19, and a leaf with VAM-20. The leaf extends to the right of the stem, and would be easily visible even in the small images presented.

The coin is no less fascinating, and although VAM-20 is rarer, it's not unobtainable and the premium isn't huge.

Thanks for the correction, these do have a lot activity.

This coin has all of the polish lines but the one to the beak from the wing.

some good pictures. I had to use my scanner to show people my VAM 19. But mine was all dis-colored looking and everything but in real life it looks good.
