".I decided to opt out of the ER & FS option, so I could view my order in hand, to inspect them...glad I did."

I think you opted out of getting them graded by NGC or PCGS all together by opening them.

Relisted and sold my sealed box of 4 sets. Relist only got $3250, so I lost $150 from the non-paying bidder, but I'm not greedy or concerned. $100 in ebay fees, $95 in Paypal ( ebay) fees and $51 to ship USPS priority mail with signature confirmation and insurance. So all in all, I will end up with $3k from the sets I paid $1200 for. I have one set, still sealed, for myself.

That probably one happy buyer. I've been tracking the 5 set boxes and (as of 8am today) the last 5 sold for $3940,3925,3700,3900 and 3935.

Still a good profit though...

What was the auction number? Maybe it was an issue with the listing...

Yes, he said he was submitting to ANACS for the Set label on the opened box

I have checking with the Mint website, and before today, the listing for A25 has identified as SOLD OUT. This morning;

We could not find any matches for your search: A25

Just a guess

For the past few days the mint website has been a shambles. I don't know why they always seem to have so much trouble making simple changes to it. They probably don't keep track of which file is current (no version control). The proof SAE sold out and was so marked but they also marked the Glacier ATB 5oz as sold out at the same time. Then when they tried to correct that, they remarked the SAE as available, then they finally got it right. They already put the anniversary back up for sale once and now they don't even say it ever existed. The one ounce gold proof Eagle is also missing entirely. Setting the proof SAE as sold out with 950,000 sold (850K + 100K) right before Christmas seems just plain stupid. Bullion sales have slowed so that isn't in the way. Maybe someone simply did not want to set a new sales record for the coin or just didn't want to hit one million. Makes you wonder if they are planning on halting the uncirculated SAE at 200,000. It was at 194,706 on Monday and selling over 2500 each week so it will likely reach 200,000 before year's end. The proof sellout may well have been done to allow foe early production of the 2012 coin. I ordered the 2008 proof SAE on December 27, 2007 and it shipped on January 06, 2008 so maybe they are going back to that sort of offering. Of course, I haven't received any advance notice for my subscriptions yet but that may come soon, they still have over five weeks before New Year's Day.

It is a re-list from the 20th that had a starting price of $2000 and a BIN of $2500..no takers.

I think he is trying to find where that set fits in price wise. I would have only dropped it $250 and see where that went...

Crappy pics...what is with the SP grade on the W? I thought that was for the ATB's finish only...

The slabs are labeled as 25th anniversary & 5-coin silver eagle set. The bullion is not labeled as (S), something they do for HSN. The wording is a clever way around a direct claim that the coins came from a mint issued set. The "25TH ANNIVERSARY" and "5-Coin Silver Eagle Set" wording does not exactly say "25th anniversary set". By separating the two phrases, ANACS has cleverly allowed themselves a way to claim that all they mean is that it was submitted as a five coin set minted during the 25th anniversary year, not as THE five coin anniversary set sold by the mint. It may fool some but with all of the publicity this set has seen, it won't fool many. Most buyers will know that non-HSN ANACS sets are not necessarily composed exclusively of coins from a mint anniversary set.

RE: ANACS label

It says "25th Anniversary 5 Coin Bullion Set" and it was separated because all that won't fit on one line.

Kinda like PCGS..two lines needed

darn....AWESOME! I bet that will stand as the best percentage of 70's from ANY submission you will see posted. I see NGC isn't derailing the great quality of this set to keep their POP's down
