Ain't it grand?! As you said, it's all in the thrill of the hunt. Just over that ridge (or in this case dealer table) there lurks yet another trophy. You'll get there before you know it David. And then?....... PG

Quote: And then? LOL PG ... there is no end ... even if (when) all 50 coins are bagged ... there will always be a lower grade coin ... never ending ... a true treasure hunt for great coins that will provide numismatic joy and thrills for the remainder of my life. Readily admit that some folks question the interest/utility in low-ball sets ... but IMHO this great series of circulated classic USA silver commemorative is the absolute most difficult set to obtain of all USA 20th Century coins. You gotta love the joy of the never ending hunt for great coins. Hoping to complete it someday ... need 6 more to declare V1.0 done. David

Do you want to venture a guess as to which of 6 will be your last to find? With circ commems you never know which will show up next. For me the last one was the Cincinnati and you already have that one.

And BTW if you find the 1903 VF25 Jefferson or 1904 F20 Lewis & Clark gold commems I'm in the market.

Congrats on the latest acquisitions!
You're getting so close I bet you can "taste" it!
A set like this is really at the core of coin collecting. It requires patience, diligent searching and even a bit of good fortune.
Wonderful accomplishment, I hope you complete Version 1.0 soon!

Generally when the date is almost gone most of the reverse is gone. This one may have been in a benzel. It would been interesting to find out how much of the reeded edge is left.

Thanks for the 'eyes' PG. I'm going maybe VG10-Details on that one. I am currently satisfied with my lowball Lafayette ... I broke this example out of a PCGS G06 holder ... and can't believe it was graded that high. Please keep on looking for me ... appreciate everyone's support. David

Thrilled to share that I have plugged another hole in my circulated set ... photo below of my VF35 (my grade) 1934 Maryland half dollar. A tip of my cap in acknowledgement to Not Mint to Be who made me aware of this coin ... just another fine example of how many of you are helping to support me in my quest to complete this tough set. This coin is tougher to find in honestly circulated grade than you might think ... it is the first I have ever seen in 3 years of dedicated hunting. PCGS has certified 4 total examples below AU. The lowest graded PCGS certified example is G04 ... owned by you know who. What a great collecting joy this set has become ... a true dedicated quest to search everywhere to find tough coins that were not intended for circulation. Now down to 5 holes in my circulated classic silver type set. My Want List is current ... https://goccf.com/t/108658Many Personal Thanks to all of you who have been so generous with your time in support of my search. David

Congrats! I've always enjoyed the "thrill of the hunt" and it appears you're having a blast hunting down these commemorative "servants of commerce."
Looking forward to "watching" you plug the last few remaining holes!

That is a nice looking Maryland and not a scratch or dent on it. Which one of the 5 will you find next?
