That was mentioned on another thread and I thought it was a great idea...until...the burnished S is released in August (total 6)..kinda put the kibash on the idea

Didn't know that there would there would be a "S" mint uncirculated coin this year. Scratch that idea! They should have included the "S" mint uncirculated coin in the set that is the subject of this thread.

Wonder if the "S" mint uncirculated is the coin that will be released on 8/2 per the mint's product schedule? Will there even be a "W" coin? if yes, both released at the same time?

The Mint does not use plurals unless it means more than one
(W & S)

...and yes it would have been a much more appealing set to have the burnished S included...

Theyres also already an S minted ASE before this set ever came out which I don't believe has the mint mark.

...and it looks exactly like its W brother. The collector coin would (is) a different beast...burnished and S mint marked

This keeps up and I am just going to go back to business strikes.
They are messing up the proof side of ASEs now. There is a difference
between spicing it up and messing with it up. They are crossing a line.

So this is "confirmed" then ? ..........

An actual burnished Uncirculated "S" mint ASE ......

And it isn't in the "Two Coin ASE Set" ? .......

Very confusing with their reasoning...... AGAIN ! ....

Since most people don't order through the US Mint's web site, I don't see this being a high minted set. Probably around 500,000 at the most, since that is about all they sell for proofs. The Mint does a very poor job on advertising, so not as many people will know about this set, as you think.

And I really don't see the price dropping in the after market, unless the price of silver takes a big drop in price (like down to $10 per ounce) and even still, I don't think the price of these ASEs will drop much.

I hope NN posts some mintage figures on the net. Someone should email Dave Harper the last week in June, to get an official update on it, since he has connections on getting those #s from the Mint.

Why don't you just go to the Mint website at 3pm every weekday and see the total minted?

It is not "confirmed"...The Mint has a date in August for the release of burnished silver eagles which I would assume to be more than one type of ASE (being plural)

The coins in the "two coin ASE set" are proofs not burnished MS coins

It is also not known if these "coins" will be released in a set or individually...both being released on the same date gets me worried that it might be a set

Wouldn't it be a surprise if theyoffered the burnished strikes in a pair WITHOUT the option of ordering each singly? And... If they want to charge $149.95 for the privilege! Seriously, they should each go for $45.95 again or $89.95 for the pair, unless silver spikes at the end of July.

Yeah, I just noticed that today. That is the firs time I've ever seen the US Mint do that. I'm glad they are doing it too. I wish they would do that on every product they sell.

A nice big jump in numbers.

I bet it'll be over 300k. Probably close to 500k.
