I am going to wait it out a week or so, then order one set for sure. I could order more, but I still think that these will be cheaper on the secondary market, like so many other mint products.

had planned to order 3 sets but now I'm thinking 1 guess ill take the other $300.00 and buy one of those PCGS 2011 reverse proof 69's that I missed out on and that are so common on the bay . This set may hold its buying price but I think the 2011 reverse proof will go even higher then it is now because of this set

Just extrapolaiting the current count out makes a lot of people think that this set is not only going to be extremely common but people are rethinking how many sets they are going to order. At first I thought that a commentor on another site was bonkers when he suggested that he was going to order sets at various times in the hopes that there might be variants minted for this set. Now I think that not only is he bonkers but that he might be onto something. So I just may order one set early and wait until the end of the order taking process and place another order then. This set may just be a common as last year's bullion ASE's.

Quote:Guessing on Monday's total is being done here: http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/..&whichpage=3 Thanks Quote:This set may just be a common as last year's bullion ASE's. Maybe not the bullion ones but I wouldnt not be surprised at all if it met or past the normal ASE proof mintage. I do want 1 to keep the collection up but theres going to be so many I may wait it out and bit and see what the graded prices do

I ordered @ 1:14 ET, and the site was running like crap. The final click crashed my browser, but the order went in.

Quote: when you guys order this set, did you reveive email confirmation? I ordered 2 sets half an hour ago, after clicking "place order" I got an order number, I was too busy to print it out, thinking it will be in email anyways, but I didn't receive any email. checking order history didn't show this order either, it's just like nothing has happened. is it normal? DON'T sit on this! Last year this happened with me with the 2011 sets - but I DID take a screenshot and have it as proof. However, after a looooong fiasco with the mint, I was burned and never got the sets. The hierarchy of customer service (as proven by my extensive pursuing of the issue) is that the costumer service reps are a buffer zone to keep complaints form getting toe what they refer to as "Headquarters." After I finally tracked down "headquarters" I had it confirmed by them that they are simply another customer service department and, in actuality, do nothing for you. This was told to me by one of their own reps! The computer erased my order, and no one did anything to straighten out the computer error and give me my order --despite many people saying that initially, they were actually going working on my case. I kpet asking them who was woking on it, who could I talk to to push the right computer key, and told them I was continuually mystified as to why, if they truly were working on my case, that every time I gave one of them my order number (which, after receiving no email confirmation, I verified by calling the mint), why did all of them come back to me and say, "Well that order was cancelled!" If they truly had been "making a case" for me, then this would have always been a part of the info in the case. When it came down to it, and I confronted them with this, one the the reps at HQ said directly to me that no matter what I did, or who I called, the truth was that the mint was simply going to wait until all 100K sets shipped and then they were going to contact me and tell me there was nothing they could do. And this is what happened - except they never contacted me to let me know. Look up "The Computer Bandit" posts in the main thread concerning the 2011 sets - I posted all of my conversations with the mint there. I suspected from the start I would never get the sets. But since I had the time, I was using the interaction with them to see how the mint's system truly works - and I found out. Since these are mint to order - I would cancel the first order and put in another. I would continue to do so until I got a confirmation email. But I am not sure how much eve a confirmation email will do if something goes wrong. I sent them the confirming screenshot of my account on their website that showed my 2011 order was confirmed!

Just had a thought. This set contains two "S" mint coins. Combine with the "W" proof, "W" uncirculated to be released on 8/2, and the regular bullion coin, that makes 5 coins for 2012. Buy some empty OGP for the 25th annie set and create your very own 2012, 5 coin silver eagle set.

With all these 2012 ASE coins being but out do you think that the mint will turn a profit this year and return more money to the Treasurty that they did last year? If so, do purchasers get a rebate for their valued buying?

No rebates for mint turning a profit, just goes to paying down the debt not that it makes even the slightest dent in it
