Help Identifying - Coin Community Forum

rumbrave55 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 12/20/2012 11:06 am Hello all, As you can probably tell I am new to these forums and am looking for help identifying the coin. I have looked all over the web and browsed these forums but I haven't found anything that shares a likeness with my coin. Honestly I am just looking for some assistance identifying what it is. It looks to be a 1896 Morgan, with a gold liberty head and then an all gold reverse. I read over the VAM post and the only other details I can really provide is there is no mint mark, approximately two denticals and no double dies. Was most likely made for a jewelry piece and is essentially worth its Silver Content value, as collector value has been erased by the alterations Report this Post to the Staff
