I found this one in a coin roll this week. :-) Planning to send it in for attribution.

Hmm I'm not sure that you have a RPM here as it looks a bit like Machine Doubling to me. I'm interested to see what others think too.

Just Machine Doubling. I highly recommend using a reference site like variety vista while you search to reduce false positives like this

Here is a way to find immediate answers when finding something you suspect is a doubled die, RPM, or OMM:

Go to varietyvista.com and use the pictures there to find an exact match.

Note:
If you do not find an EXACT match to your coin listed using this easy method, then you most likely have a damaged coin or other issues like (non collectable) Machine Doubling, Die Deterioration Doubling, etc. (look these up at error-ref.com)

I easily recognized the Machine Doubling around the edges, but that little snip inside the D to the right had me thinking there was something there:

1964-D-Jefferson-Nickel-With-RPM

Especially since it did resemble 1964-D RPM-005 on Variety Vista. http://www.varietyvista.com/05%20JN...4DRPM005.htm

Looking at it closer and with different lighting, though, it doesn't seem to be a match, after all:

1964-D-Jefferson-Nickel-With-RPM

Thank you for the feedback! That closer look probably saved me $20+.

most Jefferson mint marks from that period exhibit some sort of anomaly under magnification
