Hello,

I have this 1999P One Cent piece that is was minted off center, but what I'm curious about is: is the doubling on the date here a common side effect of the offset, or is it a separate error? I'm trying out a new camera so let me know if the shots are OK.

Looks like a split plating issue that was caused by the Off Center strike. I think it stretched the copper plating too thin.

I could see that for the far right 9, but between the first and second 9 there's a section that is raised up. Maybe just a bit of Cud?

First 9 could/probably be a plating blister

Look this up at error ref. A Cud is an entirely different thing. I think yo meant die chip. But I agree with plating bubble and split plating issue/"doubling."
