Tell Your Above Average Finds

I got 9 40%er from searching a tellers tray on day. They sprawled them out and let me look. That was my second time getting any halves, my first time was 2 rolls and I got one 40%.
After getting those and looking up their value I though "there is no way this secret money is hiding from everyone and I can just get rich by buying all these!!!!"
Then I realized that beginners luck was all it was :)
Fun start though!

My coolest was 6 Barber dimes, and mercs and rosies in a S/s 12-box order, 3 years ago.
Best cwr dime roll held 27 silvers, last year.
Half-dozen solid 40% halves rolls last two years.

I've never found any silver, but I did find a $25 wheatie (can't remember the date, it was early though) in a roll of pennies.

A few months back, I found 12 40% and 3 90% in one roll. A week later, I found some really old rolls; the coins had turned black and even green. 53 40% and 16 90% in 6 rolls! I haven't found much since.

I haven't searched for silver but I do hunt for copper/wheat cents.

My absolute best score has got to be the 1909 V nickel I found when I got $20 in nickels.

2nd best was 4 silver dimes from $40 in machine wrapped rolls. There were 3 of them in 1 roll.

3rd best was the War Nickel streak I was on a few weeks ago. Every time I got $20 or $30 from the bank, I'd get a War Nickel. Got 7 War Nickels that way.

My most valuable box was 302 or 303 40% halves and 1 90%er. My favorite dime box find is a 1917 Netherlands sterling silver. Best Nickel box find was an 1883 V, but it was in bad condition. Best penny find is a 1909VDB. All were bwr's, though some from a regional bank that rolls their own coin. I've looked through a lot of coin in a relatively short amount of time, but I've been very fortunate.
