A co-worker of mine has a coffee can full of very rough War Nickels and out of all of them, one could potentially be a 1943/2 P.

I know this picture is different than all of the pictures I have seen on-line, but it still seems like something is going on in the '3' that may have been a '2' before...

I don't know much about Jeffersons (I focus on V and Buffalos) so if I could get some opinions from the Jefferson people, I would be grateful!!

Thanks!!

You answered your question in your second sentence of the post. It is different that every one you have seen online because it is not a 43/2. The numbers look softer, flatter and wider than normal so I am going with Die Deterioration

Here is another image of the DDO. Note the lower cross bar/angled upright on the 2/tail outside the 3 (Seen on earlier die states).
