Well I can finally answer this question - I 'plan' on getting NOTHING from the mint - I'll be working on my 7070 album and my Buffalo nickel collections. (nothing silver..) But in the end, I'll probably change that

adding another 2-3 definitive coins to my KGVI 1937 world set, it has started quite well so far this year but I wouldnt mind finishing the bronze part of SA/GB/CAD this year!

Planning a Denver trip later in the year is my first goal and see what that brings.
Buy 2 coins for my 100 year of birth year set
Buy 1 of the major coins for my first or last year type set
Make a holder for my Franklin proof set, have some nice mahogany
And as always for the last 5 years find a Dardanelle Arkansas note
Good luck everyone on their goals!

1. Finish my Lincoln Cent set #7100 Dansco album. 2. Work on finding nice Liberty nickels 3. Finish my Buffalo nickel set. 4. Potentially start my own "custom" set of Shield nickels5. Finish my SBA dollar album Some thoughts: Lincoln cents - I currently have 2 coins left that I need for my Lincoln Cent set, the 14-S and 24-D. As others have seen, I've been working on trying to build a Liberty (V) nickel set with nice coins. I'm trying to take my time, and find as many G, VG, F and XF coins that I can within reason. I do plan on purchasing the key date coins also, as the 1886 and 1912-S are doable. The 1885 may take a bit of wiggle room. Normally, I would not pursue such expensive coins. However, since this is such a small series, I can't really imagine long term not purchasing them at some point, especially since there are only 3. I've made quite a bit of progress recently on my Buffalo nickels, particularly the second page. I've been working on this series for a about a year and a half, so I can't imagine finishing them anytime soon is a particularly huge priority. It would be nice to see it "complete," at some point, though. I'm trying to find nicer coins, with at least readable dates. I've really been enjoying diving into nickels, my favorite coin denomination to collect. Particularly, "older" nickels, like the V nickels and Shield. I'd like to attempt to put some kind of set together of Shield nickels, as I really like the design. I won't be doing expensive varieties like the "3" over whatever and proof only year coin. Also, I basically never see anyone do Shield nickels, so I think it will be a unique endeavor. I'm hoping the blank MM pages I ordered recently will be able to fit them. SBA dollars - I've had this album since July, and I have the 81 type 2 proof, the most expensive coin in the series. I'd like to finish this one up, but I've been busy allocating money elsewhere, so I haven't wanted to. Lol. It really shouldn't be a hard task though, considering most of the coins that I have left are relatively inexpensive, with the exception of the 79 type 2 proof. Okay, is that enough?

Considering the current cost of PM, I am cutting back a lot. 1) Add any coins/notes that I like to my coins from Portugal collection. 2) Add the 2 missing morgans to my date set. 3) Add any missing slabbed Indian Head cents to my collection. 4) Get the latest AI dollars, going to get them in Reverse proof as the Proofs are no longer being made :(

Being fairly new to coin collecting, I think my 2026 goal is to figure out what my goals should be But really at this point it is just to learn a little bit every day. I am happy to have found this forum because it seems like it will help greatly.

Close enugh to end of the 1st quarter for my status report
1. Sell off a couple of small collections that we've lost interest in: my wife's Tudor/Stuart OFER collection, and parts of my Duchy of Lorraine collection. No progress yet. 2. Continue to grow collection and knowledge of saints on medieval coins; collaborate with spence on 3d article in series on this topic. There are a couple of specific coins on my watch list...otherwise I'm a bit opportunistic. Added coins of St. Ubaldus (Gubbio), St. Januarius (Naples) and St. Vitalis (Parma). 3. Continue to add early dated/datable coins in the 11th to 15th c. that mesh with other collecting themes. Added a dateable 1312 of Florence and dated 1483 of Brabant. 4. Continue contributing at Numista. Added 85 coins, mostly Low Countries, Italian States and Papal.

Funds are pretty tight and I don't expect that to change. So...
One of my goals is to return to circulation hundreds of dollars (could be a thousand) in coins that aren't really part of my collection, but more a part of my hoard. I've housed a lot of this for decades...generations (isn't 20 years one generation?). I may contribute some interesting rolls for coin roll searchers.
Aside from that, I hope to fill a few holes in my 7070, pick up some early Franklin Proofs needed for that collection, and maybe complete my US Mint Sets with 1959, 61, 62, and the missing 1982 & 83 Souvenir Sets.
I hope to solve my current problem of not being able to take decent coin photos. And complete my inventory spreadsheet.
Dang, all of that sounds like a pretty ambitious agenda for the next 9 months.

Quarter 1 Report. 1. Fill the last three core Dansco album holes— No progress. 7000: 1916-D Mercury dime. 8100: 1909-S VDB and 1922 "Plain" (no D). 2. Buy whatever appeals to me from 2026 US Mint offerings— No progress. Probably just the annual Mint sets this year.3. Add more Ike and WWII related coins from around the world— No progress. 4. Move my world coins from 2x2 holders (stored in 12 pocket Dansco pages) into various hole sized of standard Dansco pages. If I do it right I should be taking photos as well.— Progress! You can see how my work is progressing in this topic.
