I don't think I could ever sell it to be melted. I'd rather sell or give it to someone who would appreciate it. I'd hate to see a piece of history destroyed.

I have recently purchased, with in a week, about 30 of these condition coins, I asked my dealer/friend to please hold these for me if they come in, low and behold, there they were, the same VG-EF and even a few XF'S, hence the term friend, many 1901-O coins. The lot will be placed away for the rainy days ahead, I usually do not buy in these grades, but the rising prices of the AU changes every day.......TOTAL COST $1.00 over melt @ 27.00/ coin. I did not steal them, but I was treated fairly.

Good luck with your 1st bought Morgan, Mike.
