Definitely a great up grade, your old one looked like she had seen better days. The new coin should go AU 53 details with a minor rim bump and cleaning. She is a really nice just pre civil war piece.

 Tough to find original surfaced Seated coins anymore, most were cleaned at one point in the past 120+ years. A super upgrade piece!! "Buy the Book Before You Buy the Coin" - Aaron R. Favor? Have a look at the vertical lines in the shield for me. If it's there, you'll know it without me telling you what to look for.

I don't see it, I also don't think there are any MS examples found yet that I know of, though I have not done much study on Seated coinage yet. Additional information: This is the reverse and a blow-up of the shield of an MS-61 1860 O WB-102 Seated Liberty half dollar sold on Heritage.   The upper right part of the shield looks an awful lot like the upper right part of my coin's shield. The 2 and 5 vertical stripes also seem to match up with their weird looking lines. Thoughts?
