All Australian coins in circulation have her effigy. I have thousands of decimal and hundreds of predecimals, all with her face. I like Raphael Maklouf's design the most. It was used from 1985--1998 on Aussie coins.

Not sure if I do have any. Who is she? Is she from a nearby country? She is queen of some island (a big island) north of Europe.

Canada & quite a few foreign countries - but my darkside pile is hiding in a place not accessible to me at present so I cannot make a list. I know I have s few U.K., Oz, Bahamas, Bermuda, and New Zealand for sure. And... I lived close enough to Canada I do not consider it "foreign" - so I mention them separately

Safe bet that the U.K. and dependent countries and Australia will celebrate the Diamond Jamboree on their coinage.
What are the possibilities that other countries that currently have an image of H.M. the Q. on their coinage, will do as well?
(Don't worry about the 'Jamboree', that is a quote from a book by Sellars & Yeatman: "1066 and All That" - a fractured account of British history).

If she can make five more years she will become the longest reigning monarch in British history beating Victoria. This year she ties George III for second longest.

Quote: She is queen of some island (a big island) north of Europe. OH, now I understand. Yes I looked it up in Google and it appears that place used to own us or something like that. Maybe if their economy is OK they could buy us again and get us out of this mess we are now in. Wonder how she would do in our next election?

Quote: I think the main village is called London We just call the place, The City. Quote: Maybe if their economy is OK they could buy us again and get us out of this mess we are now in Our economy is not doing that well either and when the new government took office in 2010 the following happened: Laws told reporters: "When I arrived at my desk on the very first day as chief secretary, I found a letter from the previous chief secretary to give me some advice, I assumed, on how I conduct myself over the months ahead. "Unfortunately, when I opened it, it was a one-sentence letter which simply said: 'Dear chief secretary, I'm afraid to tell you there's no money left,' which was honest but slightly less helpful advice than I had been expecting." http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/...te-successorKen

I agree with Glenzy1 - the 1953 effigy is the best on a coin. Various portraits on notes are mostly unfair. To see her on TV, she is usually a cheerful lady, with a great smile - but the "official" portraits do not capture this.
