PCGS has this at F-12. I agree. Looks like everyone was in the ball park. To me, this is a classic F-12 obverse and reverse. Unless it is raw on ebay......... then it is a VF-30.

I'd go VF20 (oops, just read last post)...guess I was a bit generous due to the reverse.

Do you think this 1833 would go VF20 or ?

Halves can be tricky. I'd go F-12. 15 if the rims were stronger. Typical for this variety. On a great day it might go 20 if strike is considered. IMHO.

Assuming the hairlines are considered market-acceptable, I could see it going VF20. The clasp is technically not there, but given the wide variance of strike quality with Bust Halves I don't think that one feature is weighted appropriately for grading with this issue. The rest of the coin is there.

Comparing to my own, I'd say F15, and I really like the look!

However, I have no experience at all grading this series.
