My first thought was MS-63, so I am sticking with that.

Beautiful Coin!

...to save myself from looking completely ignorant but I will say I suppose I wont be surprised at just MS61...I know, I know "61?" but how did PCGS handle the marks on the obverse relief and the weak strike on all 13 stars?...

That's a good point. Most of the stars are not well formed but that didn't hurt it so much. I believe the reverse color also helped the PCGS "market grade".

Thanks to all for the comments. This is one of the nicest Seated coins I have ever purchased and todays down market made it a decent buy. I'll post the grade tomorrow.

Great Looking Coin, The Toning is Amazing!

I want to say MS-62, bumped to 63 for the colour.

I'm with the 64 crowd with a chance at 65.

Assuming at least average luster, I'd agree with MS-64.
Gotta wonder how it became toned like this. Maybe kept in a Whitman-style holder for years with the reverse in contact with the paper backing?

Nice coin Brad! 64 was on my mind.

Sometimes these toners can be tough to nail a grade.

Wow, I think it's even nicer still, but I was off - 2 points too high, guess I need to look a bit closer. Haven't been that off (by over) in quite awhile, back to grading school for me this week!
