I agree. I have met him a couple of times and one thing comes through-he is passionate about coins and coin collecting. He is a good guy to talk to about Canadian coins.

Next time you met him, can you tell him not to remove my coin from capsule and touch it with his bare hands on tv? I am always wonder what he does with the coins he touched bare hands. I would assume they wipe it clean and sell it back out?

Meeting him a few times at GTA shows, he is a cool coin guy who apparently buys a lot of stuff from dealers to stock the show and a collector to boot. With the amount of RCM coins he sells, I am almost sure those uncapsuled coins are samples, or at least I hope so.

When it comes to circulating coins you could maybe do your own bidding/buying and complete a set that he sells and do it for less money and maybe more fun in the long run. However, I will say this. If he motivates or piques interest in the hobby with his shows that is a very good thing.

I saw he had uncirculated 2005 P non magnetic pennies for $2500 each and there were I believe about nine available. I wonder how many of those are out there to be sold?

punman.. you should watch one of the show he is on. He is good at selling. I am quite surprise at their sell pitch and they usually sell out by end of their shows

lol

I've always wondered why he advertises the fact that he touches coins with his bare hands. Isn't he trying to sell them?

I've returned two "imperfect" coins to this company.

@ punman... Steven had about 50 or so of the 2005P Non magnetics. To date there are 200 - 300 certified plus whatever is still in original sets out there.
The 2006P non magnetic last time I checked had a population of about 118.

Cool, thanks for the info Darryl. I did not know there were so many 2005p non mags certified.....I wonder how many are non certified....or how many people have they know are the non mag but just don't care about certifying them. or how many are out there in sets that people do not even know about......
