I figured it was a fake only reason I had doubts were because she told me that anything in that attack belonged to her parents so I'm guessing they made this fake along time ago and I thought in the early 1800 coins did not come out perfect

A terribly executed counterfeit.

Recently manufactured Chinese counterfeit. I suspect that the story about the coin being found in Grandma's attic is questionable, too.

It looks like polished aluminum. How much does it weigh? I'm guessing under 20 grams. It should weigh 27 grams.

35 grams is too much if the coin was made of silver at the correct weight, it still is going to be a counterfeit. The 1804 dollar is one of most famous US coin rarities. If you had an geniune example, it would most likely be worth over a million dollars.

Not sticking to a magnet really means nothing except that it is not made from a ferrous metal. Most counterfeits do not stick to a magnet.
