I think AU58 based on the setup of the question where it really looks AU50

Easy AU-53. AU-55 is not out of the question.

I'm thinking XF45. Wear across high points is evident and luster is subdued. It is a nice looking example so the eye appeal could take it to AU50.

By the old standards it cannot be AU if less than 50% original mint luster is present; XF45 would be my grade - uniformly even wear with some mint luster remaining in protected areas. There are weakly struck AU coins with XF sharpness that still retain 50% or better mint luster, those should properly be graded AU in my opinion (and the ANA's.) TPG market grade probably AU53.

I see an easy AU53 for this coin, at under $200 though I'm guessing it's in an XF45 holder, probably very undergraded IMO.

The grade on the 1828 CBHD was AU details/cleaning. From my examination, there is some disturbance in the fields on the reverse under the "E" to the eagle's beak. Looks like some gunk was rubbed off the coin.

Wow, even with the gunk, I don't think it deserved a cleaning designation. I'd say remove the rest of the gunk and resubmit, but is it worth it at that point?

interesting
looking at the darkened areas of the mirrors along the peripherals of both sides, I suppose that must be carbon damage setting in from a dip that stripped the sulfide layer of the silver. Once that happens (stripping), ED is sure to set in and carbon spot/mottle like we're seeing. I'm sure in hand under a 10x loop you can see as that versus a picture glance assumption of toning.
It would not upgrade to problem free based on this.

Nice thing about that one is the cleaning is not harsh and dare I say not even improper. It's a lightly cleaned example that's sometimes graded problem-free these days. A good buy at $200 IMO.
