Wow, thank you all for this help! It is very very helpful and much appreciated. I think it is genuine. when I get around to it, I may send to ANACS. The person I bought this from specializes in Trade dollars and has many proofs PCGS slabbed after he purchases them raw (outside of my type set budget though) I really feel this isn't a fake. The luster in hand convinces me, but the differing opinions will be noted if I send it in.

What do you guys think of the toning? A few collectors from another forum saw the pictures and believe it is AT.

I also posted this coin on the PCGS forums, and a Trade dollar expert believes it to be genuine. Also, he believes this is likely AT, and even showed me one he owns with the same toning. Apparently its "twin" and possibly done by the same person.

Personally I think it's natural, but who am I to say anything I'm not an expert  . I love the look though.

Some said $100 is a high price for it, which I disagree with based on market values for T$ right now. I paid around $350 for it, so I intend on keeping unless it comes back from a TPG with problems, which I will get around to doing soon as I wasn't around to do it. Appreciate all the help/comments thus far will keep updated

I agree with the AT, but sometimes AT coins get a straight grade.

As promised, I wanted to update all those who participated in this discussion (more of a debate). I sent it into ANACS for grading. It graded and came back MS-61!

Wow! That turned out to be a great buy. It looks like chesterb is eating crow on this one. As promised and since I put my big foot in my mouth, pm me your information and I will pay the grading fees as we all learned something on this coin.
