Looks like it's been cleaned in the past and has retoned around the edges.
I see nothing wrong with the grade.

I can see why it doesn't have any bids - not very attractive and has alot of wear.

53 looks right. Toning DOESN'T affect the technical grade, although toning does affect eye appeal and, hence, value.

No takers the first time. Looks like he relisted it. I wasn't to interested in the grade. I guess I'm out numbered. Only SilverDollar2017 and I think it might have been cleaned. I think what I see are scratches on the coin, not the slab. It's weird, if those scratches are on the slab they are directly over the coin. Why not the rest of the slab?
Anyway, if those scratches are on the coin, I can't see ICG giving it a straight grade. I'll never know, the coin will never be in my hand to find out.

It's definitely been cleaned in the past. I see many hairlines on the coin. It has since re-toned around the edges. ICG deemed it market acceptable and gave it a straight grade.
Notice how the color in the middle of the coin resembles a cleaned coin, while the edges of the coin are brown in color.

So now the question: How did that cleaned, details, scratched coin get into that straight graded slab? It happened/was slabbed years ago when these anomalies weren't taken into consideration?
