The new method looks great. I think the colour helps.

Useful tool to investigate ghosting on coins such as British bronze pennies of George V.

I like the red contrast on the copper or bronze coin.

I would try blue as a contrast color on silver coins.

It's an amazing fact (but true) that nearly 20% of the population has some degree of color blindness.

Show a very dark blue next to a black and many people can't tell the difference.

I like it as well. Works great in some instances. My only issue is my dyslexic tendencies.

With an overall glance or look no problem. But when the color is overlaid in a busy area meaning small devices over another, my eyes/mind gets drawn to the color more and struggles a bit to pull out the underlying device or feature.

I see potential with a bit of practice on my part and knowing what to recognize. Also the right color combination is key or helps. Thanks, Doug.

Adding - My reading glasses might solve my problem as well.

That was a good idea Coop. I like the 2nd overlay you did better (the one where you improved the shaded area).

Coop! My man! Wow. You impress me man, I think that's an amazing way to represent the overlay improvements you got going on here. The way you are doing it now, I would have to say is going to help a lot of ppl out. I hate the old way now because it's even sometimes confusing for me. Why confusing? Well the color of the reverse is the same color as the obverse, with the older overlay, it seems the colors make the obverse and reverse blend together. So you don't even know what you are looking at without a trained eye. With your images, it greatly highlights what I am supposed to be looking at! Not confusing at all anymore. If you don't get paid for what you do coop, ....... you should be. Thank you for alll your hard work and determination of teaching the masses one person at a time. Much respect!!

Peoples appreciation is all I need. I'm still learning and hope other do also. I love it when Someone explains something like I said. It makes me smile. Also great to have a lot answering questions also. That frees me up to work on new projects for the site. So all should be commended.
