1939 is known for hammered business strike Walkers but I'll bet your hint means it's a proof issue. 66

The rim looks like proof rims for a WLH to me and the strike is incredible. My first learning the TPG system grading thought was PR66, and I see it pretty much matches the rest of the opinions.

Not sure if it's proof or not, but a gorgeous coin either way. I'd say 66 minimum.

MS-65+ Quote: What is meant by a hammerred business strike? It's a term referring to a full strike, meaning great detail for which the design was intended.

OK, 2 days are up. It's a PROOF 63. Just a 63. There isn't a huge price difference in Proof 63 vs. Proof 66 like there is MS. Maybe 50%, not 300% like MS is sometimes.
Not sure why it was lower.
