The Kennedy half dollar was a Proof Like coin. Value is worth 4x the price of the Spaceship coin set.

Sad, they could have really done something cool with this release too, instead we get a lame card holder with below average clip art graphics on it?

Agreed.

The least they could have done is used a STAR note to tie into the space theme....

The funny thing be about this one is it says, "Discounted to $8.50 each when ordering 50 or more—volume discount applied in shopping cart
Item Number: B15053
Mintage Limit: 24,000
Product Limit: 23,000
Household Order Limit: 50"

Order 50 or more but limited to 50

I don't even think they could sell these at Chuck E Cheese. Probably the silliest looking product ever produced by a Government agency sold to the public.

Let me guess, a government committee meeting over and over again figured this out.

I ordered one today. Kind of dumb looking but if I don't get it, it will be worth $100. Besides, how often do I get a chance to pay $10 for something worth $2.

I like the idea about the star note.

Also, I wonder if anyone gets 20190000 serial number? And how are they going to make 24,000 with only 4 available digits? Use another bank letter? Also, why is mintage limit 24k but product limit is 23k?

Sounds like they really didn't think this one through. This isn't the kind of thing I collect, but I don't see this being a quick sellout.

I asked the same question on a different forum and got this,

"The product sold is less than the mintage as there may be notes damaged, pulled for QA, given away, released for circulation etc."

As far as the 4-digits are concerned, the BEP is using 3 different districts and each district has a possible 9999 serial numbers, so more than enough.

I'd like to get serial number,
20191969 or 20199102 or 20192019

Good info, Steve. I was wondering about that (the product/mintage disparity) on some other currency products.
