I don't even have to look at the coin to know it's not real. 1. It's not slabbed. 2. The starting bid is $300.

Only one feedback as a seller, and it's negative. Not a good sign...

Not a chance that thing is genuine. Look at the fields. That is a dead giveaway. Bumpy, cast surfaces. I bet it's half the weight. Reported.

Two buyers have bid it up to $315.

not at all being anywhere near expert on colonial coins, i'd say it's fake based on just a couple quick observations, one of them being the lousy photos. for this kind of coin you'd want stellar photos to show it off. we don't have that here. red flag. the condition of it looks great (itself another red flag), odd that it's not slabbed (red flag), so why the lousy photos? (i think you all know why the photos aren't great) even if I were a regular seller or buyer on ebay, I wouldn't go near that auction. I get the feeling the photos are lousy for a reason.

Perhaps moderators can post screen shots of these listings before nuking? By the time I get on here, most are gone.

I'd really rather not waste disk space on screenshots of fake coins on ebay that no one will care about 30 minutes after they look at it. If you want to see the first image you can usually get it here.... https://www.coincommunity.com/ebay_...ge-image.aspEven after the listing has been shut down.

By the time I get on here, most are gone. 99.99% of them really aren't worth a second look and you really haven't missed anything. It is a good idea if there ever was an exceptionally good one, but that is extremely rare
