That toning is gorgeous!
I wish I had an overlay for Barber quarters.
Something raised on the middle of the neck and at the back of the neck.
It definitely looks raised based off that picture.

Thanks for sharing.

I think it will make the mint state cut. If there is rub on the high points and/or in the fields it's not at all obvious. Toning looks original and adds eye appeal. The hits on the shield are the most serious negatives and would limit the grade. I'd go MS-63 on this one, maybe with a star to reflect the very nice appeal.

I'm at MS-62. I like the toning, but it's hard to tell from the photos whether the dark toning around the date is approaching terminal toning.

AU55 could be a MS62 if the rotation under a bright lamp reveals no wear on the high points.

Au55. My first thought was old cleaning and retoned. I guess I'm alone here but not a fan of this one.

Nice looking coin. I am going to say AU55 as the images do show some wear on the obverse and fields. This coin would look good raw in a type set album!

Great old album coin.

I think I see circulation rub on the front hair curls and the knot. I can't see matching evidence on the cheek. On the reverse, I am fairly sure I see circulation rub on the eagle's right wing tip (our visual left). I'm at a tossup between weak strike or later die state and possible circulation evidence on the talons. The contact marks look more like circulation contacts than general bagginess.

I'm leaning toward mid-to-high AU (55 or 58), but I would sure like to see your pics when the coin arrives. The toning is nice. I'm a big fan of eye appeal AUs over ugly UNCs any day of the week. Nice one.
