My guess is that NGC graded it at MS62.

strike is weak in some areas which is typical but the columns look decent which is what I look for. I think they graded it MS63 due to broken luster and strike

The grade totally threw me, too. Seems at least MS63 to me.

Seems a bit harsh. Was between a 62/63 myself. Guess the number of small reverse marks were enough to hold it back. Not much of a price difference until MS64.

NGC is just flat wrong on this one I believe. No way that's a MS61 coin, it's too nice.

Someone will eventually re-submit it, like I should have done. It was part of a big tranche of auction coins that I had to sell, and I confess I didn't look too closely before I listed it. With that MS61 grade, it's languishing so far on ebay at $46.
