If that is a Cud, it sure is strange looking with the 'boarder' of raised metal that is up against the device. Can we see the reverse side of this coin? (in the area of the ' Cud' from the obverse) There should be a weakness showing there.

Still looks like CU-25c-2006P-01R(ND) to me.

The obverse will show weakness on that device on the opposite side of the Cud coin strike.

Quote:The Cud would be under the 'ER' in AMERICA. Hmm, a slight weakness of the 'ER' but the rim is fully formed - that too should be very weak, but it is not.

Dearborn, not necessarily. Sometimes there is no weak spot on the other side. Spence has it right. My post above was to encourage the OP to look it up their self. http://cuds-on-coins.com/

Quote: not necessarily. Sometimes there is no weak spot on the other side Cujohn, How can that be? If a portion of the die on the edge broke away, there would be nothing to help form the opposite (unbroken die) side - the rim (or lack of one seems logical as it needs the pressure to push the metal up into the trough that would form the rim. This is something I'm going to have to looks up and study now. a post from Coop: http://goccf.com/t/421269&whichpage=2#3627403
