Hard to say why these graders come up with what they do. From the photos, no obvious signs of cleaning.

one must keep in mind we are looking at Trueview which is NOT a true view of the coin. I dont see any signs of any type of cleaning using these photos. maybe in hand it shows something, I wouldnt touch it and would not resub unless you think it would come in at 67 straight. 66 would not justify costs

Thanks folks. I won't acetone it but definitely going to try for a resubmission. I really appreciate the comments

Personally I'd crack it and resubmit it without trueview, then when it straight grades send it in for attribution and trueview. How I'd do it anyways.

I don't know the series but it looks to have possibly been whizzed.

I'm not seeing any marks to say that it was whizzed...those fields are beautiful...as is the whole coin.

I've resubmitted this coin with a few others I've had sitting around. Unfortunately I didn't take any in hand pictures prior. Panzaldi, if you go to PCGS Cert and look at those images you can zoom in closer. These are very worn dies with heavy flow lines. I find it hard to believe but someone could have thought they were hair lines. The only other thing is the small lam on the eagles right wing. We'll see in 3-4 months.

maybe E-Zest would be tough to see this was used. I've never used it so I'm not sure what a coin looks like that was dipped in it. would they consider that cleaned?

Sorry guys. That was an accidental post. Just seeing it. The coin is there about 6 weeks in so I'm hoping before Christmas we will have an answer. I've got four submissions at PCGS atm. Some of the coins I posted here. It will be a while but I will get back with the results.
