Also the Doubled dies on the single squeeze die coins are on the centers of the design, not on the outer areas of the designs. So there will never be a DDR on these devices as they are too far from the center. On incuse devices closer to the center of the design, the incuse devices will be reduced in size on a doubled die, and enlarged on a doubled die: EPU on Shield cents: Raised and incuse devices have opposite rules. So there will never be a DDR on these devices as they are too far from the center. Interesting and I've read that in other sources, but I'm not convinced it's 100% accurate. The LSC coins have lots of DDO's on the dates which are not technically in the center of the design, and quite a few on Liberty, which is also not in the center. There are a few DDR's involving the designer initials, which also aren't in the center, and VV also lists a DDR for 2022 -D LSC with doubling on USA. Doubling on IGWT is still showing up on Washington quarters as well. Anyone got a theory for the apparent inconsistency in the prevalence of doubling location?

I just added another closeup of just the E, at the beginning, that may be a little easier to see what I am referring to.

Thanks, John! I just thought it was odd that HGK3 brought that up and then, BAM!

More food for thought. Scroll down a bit to "The Single-Squeeze Hubbing Era". Single-Squeeze may not always be the case. Nor centralized only. Thanks, Doug. http://doubleddie.com/58222.html

Thanks guys! Chase, that does look a whole lot like what I have. Mine seems larger the Error Ref example but extremely similar. Alright, I give, MD and done....

Jon. I think I have a similar looking coin. Same quarter as your possible New 2017D DDR. When I get a chance I'll check.

Yep thanks. I just think I saw this same looking MD on one of my coins. I think I posted it way back and was informed that it is MD.
