I don't 'collect' them, but If I come across one, I take it out of circulatuaion and stack it with the others in my closet.

I don't collect them because with how many of them were made, a circulated one will never be worth more than face value within my lifetime. Same goes for State Quarters, ATB Quarters, Westward Journey nickels, etc.

Very nice! I have examples in my collection and will admit I have a difficult time spending them after being found in circulation.

Quarters yes, halves no. Ike's yes, but I keep all of them no matter the year.

I have a completed set of the modern quarters and don't actively collect them. Bicentennials don't do anything for me. I've certainly spent a lot of them though. As for the Kennedy's, again I don't collect them but, I have tubes of the '64's.
You have a very nice collection of them!

I have a P & D of the quarter, half and dollar in my collection and a handful of extras that I'll eventually pass out to the kiddies. It's not something I look for though.

The Bicentennial set is quite a nice set in both clad and silver. Many collectors don't realize that when graded MS 67 or 68, they are quite valuable. Especially true for the quarter (MS 67 $125 and 68 $4,000+. -PCGS)

Wonder if we should be posting additional coins here, since we are beginning to stray from the intent original post. Consider starting a new topic for posting 'new' coins for evaluation (under Grading, perhaps).

I have enough for myself, so the ones I found in a roll last night I returned for someone else except one beauty that I kept for myself.

afraid those are merely oversize photos + overgrading, which often seem to go together

Funny you ask. I have a collection of 88 Bicentennial quarters. I almost succumbed to the thought of spending them since they are doing nothing for my coin collection having very little more than face value, at best. Yet, someone mentioned the upcoming 250th anniversary which may spark interest others scarfing up these quarters. So, I would say hold on to them and keep collecting them! (I never find half-dollars. How do you get so lucky? Do banks still have rolls one can purchase?)
