"The biggest gold coin, as listed by the Guinness World Records, is a one tonne Australian Kangaroo. The colossal 99.99% pure gold coin has a diameter of 80 centimetres, and is a massive 12 centimetres thick." https://www.bullionbypost.com/index...t-gold-coin/

Quote: My largest, even the holder is oversized. These were actually used and at a Weight of 38.2 g, a Diameter of 35 mm, and a Thickness of 3 mm they are a large heavy coin. hfjacinto - What is that exactly? I can't quite make out the lettering.

The topic is "What is the largest coin in your collection?", not "What is the largest coin actually used in circulation in your collection?".
Note: the post to which I was replying has been deleted.

Hello. As some of you might suspect, mine is one of the Maria Theresa Talers, at about 41.5 mm across. Because the restrikes have been done in so many places at so many different times they can vary from 39mm across upwards, which is one of the things that attracts me to them.

Apart from the ACE dollar, the largest coin in my collection is the 1969 Fiji dollar, its size is 39 mm.
