If you think you have a Die Crack then you need clear close up picture of that area. Then a full picture of front and back of coin. Thank you.

Almost all odd coins you find in circulation will be post mint damage. Coins spend very little time at the mint being made where relatively few errors can happen. However coins can spend up to a century or more being tossed around and beaten up an almost infinite number of ways when circulating. The concept that every odd looking thing might be a valuable coin error wastes a lot of time for people and gives them a lot of disappointing replies. This relatively new "fad" is due to so many non-error coins being put on ebay and click bait youtube videos. Funny colors, most weird marks, dents, missing letters, splotches, discolorations, etc. are typical of damage and not collectable errors.

MIcroscopes can be the newbies worst enemy b/c the tiny imperfections people see, that have been on coins forever and ignored by the hobby, are so often mistaken as something important.

If you want to know what to look for that the hobby finds interesting and collectable, then get some boxxes of penny rolls from the bank, sort them by date and mint mark, and then use a site like varietyvista.com. They have date by date listings with pictures. Find an EXACT match (all pics for each entry must match) and you have a doubled die, RPM, or OMM. Also, you WILL find doubling on your coins that does not match the pictures at that site because there are forms of non-collectable doubling that occur such as Machine Doubling or Die Deterioration Doubling.

It takes a lot of research and study to sort collectable coins from the huge amount of non-erro, damaged, and inconsequential things that fool so many newbies.
