I'd say yes, this is a woody. Improper alloy mixes come in a variety patterns and severity. Do you have a before restoration photo?

It's a woody. Many, but not all woodies have striking, zebra like features. Think of this one as a finer grain, nearly cross cut version of woodgrain. Bottom line, it's an alloy issue.

It's not an all or none issue. It definitely has some woody characteristics, but very subtle. Pretty impressive detector find!

Thx all. Looking at the pre-restore Reverse you can almost make out the same patterning. So, not thinking it was my efforts.

It does have a neat looking pattern to it - would be from alloy mixing so "Woody" it is.
