Well spoken, as there is a positive and negative to everything, even Vamming. and as for the past few months we have talked on a variety of issues that surround vamming. The Plus and minus's won't change overnight, yet it is changing..even in the last year, there have been modifications to the listings of certain years as the new form of studying them by year and some by series. These changes have been accepted...though they are small changes, over time the coins will bear themselves into order.... While there are things are are not right they are small compared to the gain of knowledge both great and small, the joy of the hunt finding that which you have studied...for me continuing on and contributing as I can in my own way will be the main focus...Not forgetting the minus's but better informed on the whole of this great hobby..

I would feel soothed, calmed, except for the part about being alone for 15 hours.... I think that six hours alone would drive me stark raving mad.... get out of that house and find a crowd of people Dave...  Quote:

I am I am!!  and I believe there are maybe 3 more studies are in the works..I do sense that there is a growing number though small, who are working on independent works... |

That is what is necessary to grow the hobby.... transparency, reality, a little bit of factuality .... (as opposed to increased hype).

We can't change reality. The coins are there; it only remains for us to label them. That character who labeled the 1902-O's represents the best of what we have to give each other - he did nothing but to expand the reality of those coins. They were there before him, and they'll be there when he's gone. In the meantime, he found the details, illustrated the differences, and turned them from anonymous lumps of metal into living, breathing personifications of a human process which our ancestors engaged in.
The coins won't change; only our perceptions. Alan Scott turned 1902-O into something different in our perceptions. They're accessible now.
Others have done the same with other issues, but I think he provided the template necessary to turn an unGodly surfeit of varieties into a manageable workload - choose a year, choose a mint, and your job will still be no less than Sheldon before you, but manageable all the same.

I can tell you this Mike.....Two of those folks that you listed there have already done so in book form..... I can also tell you that zee does not now, or ever will have, the smarts and the fortitude required to even attempt something of such significance.

I do believe you, Dave, Along with some other resident VAM specialists, could consult together, with your experience in the years you are very knowledgeable are obviously very well versed..... to aid in the out come..... Zee, I am not fooled for a second, you are the type of person, who once set out to do something, could amaze us ALL........This is my exact point, evertone here has some degree of experience and together, could re do or repair what ever needs repairing.....A team effort. |

Gene, You could not be more correct, I propose we do so in an effort equal to all the parts of the total of our best combined efforts..Help this topic grow to make what has already been discussed and known and bring the knowledge we ALL have to a visual/understandable presentation to assist ALL.....

I got it, so let this begin..in the CCF way...or then...for the sake of the cause of vamming....either way its for the understanding of vams and that is why we are here...not for the money but for the futherment
of the studies of vamming...more on that tomarrow...
