I've been through quite a few of the VAMS for this dates and I've found that as I've aged I can't see lots of what the VAMS are providing. I'd appreciate any help on this one as the heavy toning is limiting what I can and cannot see. Thanks in advance. BTW if you click the image you'll see it's a large hi-res picture. The mintmark is a medium S, and VAM-123 is a large S, so definitely not that. I would focus on VAMs with a medium S mintmark shifted left, and rule out those with incorrect date positions. Then it's a matter of looking for die markers, which would be very hard to see in a photo with all that obverse toning. Great photos by the way, and a very nice Morgan!

I will look some more but definitely not 123, the mm location is not even close to yours.

After spending some hours looking at the fine detail markings on this coin I believe I can confirm it to be VAM-34. It's been difficult as the amount of toning on the obverse made looking up a lot of those markings difficult.
The tripling on the reverse is quite pronounced and those match up completely with VAM-34.
Thank you MakeCents and all who lent a hand it's much appreciated. I plan on continuing to look into this one as it's been an interesting ride so far.
