Minted by the Perth Mint in Australia, a 1 ton gold coin.

(OK, I would call it a medal, as the coin is not a legal tender ... I suppose ...)

"Wieghing in at just over a tonne" - the caption says 1012 kilo. Oh, well, what is 12 kilo gold among friends? Obviously a measuring error. Difficult to get the weight just right for these "little rascals".

As I see no denomination of any kind I have decided I do not want this one. Even if it is legal tender - which it will have to be to be described as a coin - the shopkeeper would not know how much to give back when I buy something.
